This wedding was very cool. It took place in Turnberry Isle Miami Hotel located in Aventura, Florida. We even got a an appearance from a special guest…yes, basketball legend Michael Jordan. But let's first start with the bride (Anisa) and the groom (Raul) and work our way up to MJ, OK?
Anisa (from Trinidad and Tobago) and Raul (from the Dominican Republic) got married on a date the Chinese consider lucky: October 10, 2010. It will be quite a while before churches can be booked for nuptials on another 10-10-10! At least Raul won't have to look for an excuse to forget his wife's anniversary!
So how did I get to take a picture of Michael Jordan during this wedding? Actually, the father of the bride spotted MJ playing a round of golf in the hotel's 18-hole championship course and convinced him to let the couple take a memorable shot with the greatest basketball player that ever lived (after Lebron, ahem, ahem!).
Anisa and Raul were just lovely and this turned out to be a great destination wedding for the couple. The location was just incredible and the food absolutely amazing. I had the best carrot cake ever! Yum!
The wedding planner, Betty from MiamiWeddingPlanner.com, did an excellent job coordinating the entire event (like always!). Enjoy the pictures.
Look behind you! That's MJ! After we spotted Jordan playing a round of gold, the father of the bride wasted no time going up to him and asking for a shot (and I'm not talking about a 3-pointer here).

WOW! I remember this amazing wedding…they were super sweet and also remember running to get the autograph from Michael Jordan…This wedding was also planned by emails and one interview only but it was unique for sure!
